Political Identity Statement
I am a Republican voter who represents the new ideas, identities, and culture forming amongst modern young Americans. I enjoy the pragmatic, common sense ideas of the Republican Party but I keep my mind open. My political ideology is constantly evolving and exists as a mix of libertarianism, conservatism, classical liberalism, and even progressivism. I am a reformist. I believe that the American system is foundationally great, however, continual progress, transformation, and adaptation is always necessary. I believe that core American ideals, such as liberty, civics, and optimism, need to be uplifted and remain empowered. These ideals can only help us to create stronger environmentalism. At home in New Jersey, I am called “nonpartisan enviro girl” and “Hippie Republican”. I am an independent, open-minded thinker that is unafraid of discourse and connection. I have found great reward in combining the ideas of the diverse people, communities, and spaces that I interact with in my life. I feel that the greatest leaders are interdisciplinary and so I seek to be multifaceted. I wish to break boundaries by sharing my knowledge as a unifying person and an innovative leader for both nature and people. Welcome to R4R- I hope you enjoy this platform!
